“I Have Been Ridiculed, Faced Racism and Humiliation” Says Ranveer Singh!

This time Ranveer Singh graces the cover of Filmfare Magazine and believe me he looks dapper. He talks about his journey in Bollywood and we all know that the journey of stardom is never easy. In an interview with the magazine Ranveer opens about his struggling days and said,” I have had some tough life experiences. It’s not all been rosy. I have been through prolonged intense and immense emotional turbulence, financial difficulties… I have been ridiculed, faced racism and humiliation. Hence, I believe in this quote: Be kind to whoever you meet because everyone’s fighting their own battle.”

When asked about if his happy face is the persona to hide his sensitive side, Ranveer said, “I believe it’s a Cancerian trait to be sensitive to the degree of it being unhealthy. To be emphatic and vulnerable to the degree, it can be detrimental. I will be difficult for me if I do not try to be happy and spread happiness. Being so sensitive isn’t good as it puts you at the mercy of the big bad world. I am an extremist, my feelings are also extreme.  So yes, you are right in saying it is a defence mechanism. Also, I have this need to be liked. I hide my intelligence because I feel it alienates people. Most times, I play the fool because ‘the fool’ is more likeable and relatable. I get criticised by people around me for hiding my intelligence. (Laughs) I am almost embarrassed of it.”

We all are Ranveer fans but we never knew he also faced this and never ever opens about this experience!
